World Advertising Festival * Gramado

The gaucho saw became the meeting point of some of the main names of the communication in Brazil when the 21st World Advertising Festival of Gramado occurred in Serra Park. The theme of this edition “Never the difference made so much difference” was debated by a diverse team of guests, which included Africa’s creative director Ricardo Figueira and Crispin Porter + Bogusky Brasil’s head of planning, Caio Delmanto, until Comedian Rafinha Bastos and actress Regina Casé.

Promoted by the Latin American Association of Advertising Agencies (Alap), the event is considered the largest in the sector in Latin America and the third in the world. The event was initiated by the president of Grupo Abril, Walter Longo, with the talk that presents the theme of the festival. Before that, at the opening ceremony, personalities of the communication were honored: the director general of business of network Globo television, Willy Haas, honored the Latin American Citizen of Communications of Gramado, President Emeritus of the RBS Group, Jayme Sirotsky , Received Láurea Roberto Civita, and the patron of this edition of the festival and director general of Rede Globo de Televisão, Carlos Henrique Schroder, received the Gramado Merit Trophy. Schroder was also awarded the Mauricio Sirotsky Sobrinho Medal, along with the journalist Caco Barcellos and the businesswoman Carmem Ferrão. A tribute was also paid to the Latin American publicists.
